I have seen this quote in several places. If it is so frequently spoken of, I know I am not the only one whom detectives turned on:
Rape is the only crime in which the victim becomes the accused. – Freda Adler
and that helps reduce my shame and puts it back where it belongs, on the detectives who treat us so poorly and truly do not have a clue what their words are doing…I hope.
