I Am Not Invisible

Ending yesterday’s post, I received a blaring revelation from theLord. I saw myself writing, through the Spirit, His answers to questions that had gnawed and burned at me for ages.

About a year ago I had heard a small clip of a radio program about fathers and daughters. The guest was telling the host that there are three questions every little girl wants to ask her father. Do you see me? Am I beautiful? Am I worth loving?

The truth ran so deep in my heart it almost broke it. Yes. Yes!. YES!! Those are questions that have haunted me for so long. Unbeknownst to me, they held me captive. When I was little I knew the answers. No. No. And definitely not.

As an adult, without really knowing where the emptiness was coming from, my heart has longed to hear YES to these. I needed to know that at the very least, I was worth loving. If I knew, really knew that was true, I think I could handle being invisible and ugly. Being raped last year only seemed to affirm the lies that had become truth for me. Again the answers were no, I don’t see you. No, I am ugly. And no, now I am really disgusting.

As I filled in the last verse of the previous post and continued to write, I hear His voice loud and clear in my spirit:

I AM your Abba Daddy and I say to you, You are My child:

…you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 1and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together. ~Rom 8:15(b)-17 NKJV

Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by your name;
you are Mine. ~Issaiah 43:1(b)

I see you My child, you are beautiful, you are worth loving I am El Roi. I see you.

Then she called the name of the LORD who spoke to her, You-Are-the-God-Who-Sees; for she said, “Have I also here seen Him who sees me?” ~Gen 16:13 NKJV

You are beautiful.

He has made everything beautiful in its time. ~Ecc 3:11(a)

Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine. ~Ex 19:5

So the King will greatly desire your beauty; Because He is your Lord, worship Him. ~Psalm 45:11

You are worth loving, as evidenced by this fact:

God so loved [me] the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.~ John 3:16 NKJV

For me – a sinner.

But God demonstrates His own love toward me, in that while I was still a sinner, Christ died for me. ~Rom 5:8 NKJV
